Bundle of Joy

As well as sewing, I have loved knitting since I was a young boy. Having been taught by my granny to knit when I was a child, I taught myself to crochet many years later and after my first little granny square was made, a new passion was ignited. So, I took to YouTube to learn as much as I could about this craft and now it is my favourite fibre craft. Where knitting has several stitches to keep track of, crochet only has one, and this is a lot easier to compute in my very busy brain. So, to me there’s nothing better than coming home after work, snuggling up under a blanket and “turning off” while crocheting a new blanket or cute little toy.

So, after my tutelage on the academy of YouTube, and several years later, I have made a selection of soft toys and blankets in different patterns and colours. It was a few years ago that I decided to put the two together and offer up these cute little baby bundles, the patterns from which are from Kelsey Liggett from Blue Phone Studios (“for the dinosaur toy, and Amiguide Amigurumi Corchet Patterns (“amiguide_store IG) for the teether. The blanket itself was drafted by me and there were many hours of trial and error when it came to borders; that was something I never knew crocheted/knitted blankets needed, ha!

I really enjoy making these up and I love receiving pictures from happy customers with the recipient of these bundles all snuggled up in their new blankets, chewing on their toys and waving around their teether. Sure, they have those last two mixed up, but so long as they’re having fun with them, I don’t mind if a dino ends up with a few chew marks here and there.

Be sure to keep an eye on the store because there will be lots more of these coming in the future.
